I had such high hopes for this one

By giantfatlady from anywhere on 1/4/2009

This is one that I might actually take the time to send back, rather than passing it on to a friend or relative. The first time I saw it, I immediately wanted it, but was so let down when I got it. I have no problem flaunting what I have, but when I think of "flaunting what I have," it doesn't typically include my entire upper torso and my bra. The neckline is way too low and the shoulders are set way too far apart. A tailor quoted me more than I actually paid for this shirt to have it fixed, and on me, it looks ridiculous with a tank underneath. If I bought the next size down, the rest of it would be too small.

Soooo comfy!

Pros: Comfortable

Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Casual Wear

This fleece is so snuggly! The neck is a little larger than I thought it would be, but that doesn't bother me as long as my bra doesn't show, which it doesn't. As mentioned in previous reviews, the color is definitely lighter than I anticipated and it's a little boxy, but the only real downfall for me is that it's so comfortable and snuggly that I feel like I'm wearing a blanket and it makes me want to take a nap at my desk - but if that's all I'm complaining about, how bad could it be?

So disappointed

Sizing: Feels too small

Length: Feels too short

Pros: Cute

Cons: Incorrectly Proportioned

Best Uses: Casual Wear

I thought this top was adorable, and I love the lightweight fabric, but it is too small, especially in the arms. I have several tops from this brand, and it's so aggravating how different styles by the same brand, in the same size, in the same fabric can fit so differently. Some consistency, please!

One of my favorite summer tops

By giantfatlady from anywhere on 1/4/2009

4out of 5

Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Good Fit

Best Uses: Casual Workplace, Casual Wear, Going Out

This top quickly became one of my favorites this summer, I have it in multiple colors. It is comfortable and flattering, though it is prone to pilling after several washes. The only downside other than that is that I'm not typically a lover of lighter-colored tops, so I'd love to see this in some additional darker colors (wine/burgundy, hunter, charcoal, etc.). It washes and dries well. Watch out on windy days - since it is a swing/trapeze top, you need to hold it down when outside, lest you wind up giving everyone a free show!

Comfortable, flattering, pills easily

Pros: Flattering, Comfortable

Cons: Wears Out Quickly

Best Uses: Casual Wear

This is a comfortable and flattering top. The material reminds me of a lightweight sweatshirt material, so keep your dress code in mind if you're looking to buy this to wear to the office. I can wear jeans to work, so this works for me. It also pills easily - a quick sweep with my pill-shaver fixes that, but what remains to be seen is how many times that can be done before it wears out. But for now, it fits, it flatters and it's comfortable.

Needs a little re-tooling

Pros: Comfortable, Versatile, Flattering, Stylish

Best Uses: Going Out, Special Occasions

Describe Yourself: Eclectic, Bargain Shopper, Classic

It's a beautiful shirt, but it just doesn't fit the way it should. I have the summer-weight knit version of this shirt and while both shirts have the same problem with the shoulders falling off, the sleeves on this version are very tight, and it's definitely smaller in the stomach area. I would recommend it if you buy a size up (for the sleeves and stomach) and are willing to alter the shoulders (or pay someone to do it for you). It really is beautiful and I'm disappointed it won't work out for me.

Great for working out, but order big!

Pros: Lightweight, Comfortable

Cons: Washes Poorly

Best Uses: Casual Wear

Describe Yourself: Classic, Bargain Shopper

Great lightweight top for exercising, but keep in mind that it's 100% cotton and either order a size larger than you normally would, or be prepared to air-dry. I ordered several of these and now can't wear any of them because they shrunk, even on the extra-low setting.

Sizing: Feels true to size

Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Attractive Design

Best Uses: Office, Casual Wear, Travel

Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish

This is currently my favorite top - the neckline falls exactly where I like, the sleeves are the perfect length, I love the button detail on the end of the sleeves. Some people might be put off by the length, but not everyone can pull off a 28" top - I know I can't. It's cute enough for business casual, but can easily be dressed down with jeans. It washes and dries well, too.

Beware of shrinkage!

Sizing: Feels true to size

Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight

Cons: Wears Out Quickly

Best Uses: Casual Wear

Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish

I ordered this top in the same size in which I order all my other tops, and it fit perfectly out of the package. I washed it for the first time in the same manner in which I do all my laundry - cold wash, cold rinse and the dryer's extra-low setting. It is the only one in recent memory to shrink to the point of being completely unwearable on the EXTRA-LOW setting. I would not recommend this top unless you air-dry all of your clothing, which for me, is completely inconvenient.
